Victory Lap Fitness was founded by Stu Mac in 2015 and rebranded in 2018. After gaining experience at numerous practices including, a 5 star hotel & spa, personal training studio, CrossFit gym and several different courses he decided he would start his own business to put all the knowledge he had gained into something useful.
After working in the Health & Fitness industry for over 10 years, he has worked with a wide variety of people with different fitness goals, abilities and backgrounds. This includes a teenage formula 4 race driver to an 84-year-old that wanted to avoid surgery and get back into running again (a real inspiration)
A number of factors contribute to his passion for fitness, including years of playing rugby, running and now CrossFit to become the best all round athlete.
His love for the fitness industry started after completing a two year course of Sports and Exercise. He went from playing rugby himself, to planning the strength and conditioning training programmes for the rugby academy helping them win the National Cup. During the two years a range of fitness styles were covered including Studio-based classes, Advanced resistance, Cardiovascular Training, Working with Special Populations and Pre & Post Natal training. This provided him with an extensive knowledge to use with his clients to help them achieve their goals and change their lifestyle.

Stu has been training and competing in CrossFit for over 4 years. CrossFit is defined as functional movements which are constantly varied and carried out at high intensity. This includes everything from Olympic Weightlifting to Gymnastic movements like handstand push ups, ring muscle ups and rope climbs to running, rowing, skipping, swimming and many more! The workouts are constantly different which not only helps to increase fitness but helps to keep it fun. Stu sometimes uses the functional movement approach to help people train and move more efficiently/affectively.
